Dataset of over 12,000 Thai election posters photographed during the 2011 national election campaign across Thailand. The posters were coded for  spatial proportions of visual and textual content on each poster.

Indonesian Election Posters

Dataset of Indonesian election posters which were photographed between 2009 and 2012 in legislative and regional head elections. They were photographed using digital cameras and the photographs of posters were stored in a database for coding and analysis. Over 20,000 election posters were photographed across most of Indonesia’s provinces.

Indonesian Press Campaign Reports

Dataset of campaign reports from the regional newspaper Waspada published in Medan, North Sumatra. Newspaper archives were gathered for the five legislative elections that took place between 1997 and 2014. A codebook was developed to capture the code the kinds of campaign events, endorsements, and social group appeals that appeared in the reports.

Asian Newspaper Editorials on Covid-19

Dataset of East Asian English language newspaper editorials related to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. Editorials were gathered for the first six months of 2020 from online versions of China (Global Times, China Daily), Hong Kong (South China Morning Post), Taiwan (Taipei Times), and South Korea (Korea Herald, Korea Times). These editorials were coded for their tone and how they framed the pandemic.
